New Public Mural Celebrates Nature and Local Artistry at 10 Prospect

In partnership with the Somerville Arts Council, US2 commissioned a new public art mural for 10 Prospect through a competitive call to local artists. After receiving over a dozen submissions, the mural “Restoration” by local artist Sophy Tuttle was selected for its powerful message and visual impact.

Spanning 15 by 30 feet, the mural features a river otter swimming among native plants—a tribute to the natural world and a symbol of ecological renewal. “Restoration” enriches the public realm, honors the restoration of the surrounding land, and highlights the importance of supporting nature within urban spaces.
