Union Square Highlighted as Model for Transit-Oriented Development at Governor Healey’s MBTA Communities Event

In early October, USQ was honored to host Governor Maura Healey’s press conference at Union Square Station Plaza and our 450-unit residential project, celebrating the MBTA Communities Act and the launch of the MBTA Communities Catalyst Fund.

Joined by local municipal leaders, the event spotlighted the importance of transit-oriented development in expanding housing supply and driving inclusive economic growth. The Catalyst Fund supports this vision by providing grants for infrastructure, planning, and multi-family housing production.

We’re proud that Prospect Union Square and the broader Union Square Revitalization were recognized as a success story and model for communities across the Commonwealth.
